Edmund Pevensie – youngest boy of the four children in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe

Edmund is the third Pevensie child. He is sent by his parents to the English countryside during the bombing of London. Along with his three siblings, for his own protection. Unlike his siblings, Edmund has fallen in with a bad crowd at his school. Edmund is moody and sarcastic at times. He even teases his younger sister Lucy to the point of tears about her make-believe land of Narnia.

Edmund finds his opinion of the fantasy of Narnia changed when he stumbles into it himself through the Wardrobe. There, has an encounter with the White Queen, whom some of her subjects refer to as the White Witch — though never where she might hear it. Edmund’s choices after meeting the Witch influence his own life, those of his siblings, and even Aslan, rightful ruler of Narnia.

Later, with Aslan’s help, Edmund regains sight of who he truly is, and is instrumental in the final battle against the White Witch — though at a great cost.
