Movie posters from, or inspired by, the — Iron Man‘ movie starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane
The iconic movie poster for Iron Man. It truly summarizes the movie here – the armored form of Iron Man towering over the others, the protagonist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) at the top right, his antagonist (and former friend and mentor) Obadiah Stane, Stark’s closest friend and military attache James Rhodes (Rhodey), and Stark’s personal assistant/girlfriend Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). Just above Pepper is the wonderful fight scene between Iron Man and American fighter jets, and below that is the original Iron Man armor, the Mark I, which Stark uses to escape from (and take revenge on) the Islamic terrorists that injured and captured him in Afghanistan. And with all this, the poster doesn’t look overloaded — all the pieces flow together wonderfully, a very nice visual.
Inspired by the iconic Jet Fighter scene in the Iron Man movie, the Mark III armor trying to evade two American fighter jets.
My second-favorite Iron Man poster (my favorite is the first one listed), showing the progression from the Mark I armor that Tony Stark uses to escape from the Islamic terrorists that have kidnapped him, to the golden Mark II that is his ‘guinea pig’ for testing out ideas on, and the final, iconic Mark III – “let’s add a little hot rod red”
A very neat poster, essentially a close-up shot of the helmet of the Iron Man Mark III armor.
