In Blondie’s Lucky Day, Dagwood is fired — again, by the crusty J. C. Dithers. So he goes into competition with his ex-boss. Dagwood’s new partner is a beautiful lady architect. Dagwood fears that Blondie will be jealous, but she falls in love with the son of Mr. Dithers’ biggest client.

Dagwood is fired. So he decides to do the only thing he can do, go into competition with his old boss, Dithers. He starts the Bumstead Construction Co., complete with a beautiful female architect. In an attempt to land the Butler Theater account, they wine and dine young Butler junior. But all the while Dithers had the real boss, Butler senior all sewed up. Then, the elder Butler notices that a gratifying change has taken place in his son-he’s been seeing the architect in the Bumstead firm. Starring Penny Singleton and Arthur Lake. 75 minutes, black and white.
