Synopsis of Pardners

Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in Pardners

In Pardners, Rich momma’s boy Wade Kingsley Jr. an Eastern dude, tries to follow in his murdered father’s footsteps.  He returns to the West to partner up with Slim Moseley Jr.,the son of his father’s former partner. Wade overcomes Slim’s initial reluctance to accept him … By using his fortune to buy a prize cow and new car to help Slim.   Slim works as foreman on the Kingsley family ranch, currently under siege by a gang of outlaws called ‘masked raiders’. Wade generously tries to pay off the ranch’s mortgage with $15,000 of his own money.  But unfortunately neither ‘pardner’ realizes banker Dan Hollis’ secret.  He’s the son of their fathers’ murderer, and is the leader of the gang.

Synopsis of House of Frankenstein

Larry Talbot just wants to die, Ilonka just wants him to love her

House of Frankenstein is the first of the Universal Studios monster mashes.  In short, mad scientist Niemann and “friend Daniel” his hunchback assistant escape prison and enact a series of revenges on the people who had him imprisoned.  They murder a proprietor of a travelling show of horrors, impersonate him and revive his corpse of Dracula.  Dracula succeeds in the first part of the revenge scheme, but Niemann abandons him to be destroyed in the sunlight.  Niemann then travels to the ruins of Frankenstein’s castle.  He hopes to recover the dead doctor’s secrets, but instead recovers both the Wolf Man and Frankenstein’s monster.  He revives them both, but a romantic triangle unravels the plot.

Larry Talbot, the unwilling Wolf Man, is returned to life with the unwitting help of grave robbers.  He wishes only to die, in order to avoid hurting anyone else as the Wolf Man.   So, he gets the help of the old gypsy from the original Wolf Man film. He is striving to get the assistance of the reviled Dr. Frankenstein … A man who supposedly discovered the secrets of life and death.   The doctor isn’t available, but Talbot uncovers his monster (played by Bela Lugosi).  With a confrontation between the two monsters being inevitable.
