Mad scientist Dr. Roland Gerard (Tom Conway) squirrels himself away deep in the jungle, using the native’s voodoo for his experiments to create an indestructible being to serve his will.
One unsuccessful attempt produces a hideous-looking female monstrosity who will not kill for him because he’s using a good girl as his subject. He needs a bad girl and it is only when a party of gold seekers stumbles upon his village that Dr Gerard finds the perfect subject for his work in the group’s evil leader, the mercenary murderess Marilyn Blanchard (Marla English). The Doctor succeeds in creating his monster leading to a lively finale..

- Marla English (The She-Creature) … Marilyn Blanchard. Heartless, cunning young woman. She’s escaped from poverty and plays to stay that way! And is willing to use anyone, at any cost.
- Tom Conway (Cat People; The Seventh Victim) … Dr. Roland Gerard. The mad scientist, with a cold anger. He’s trying to create a powerful monster, invulnerable, and under his control. But after he learns that he can’t control Zuranda, he needs a subject that’s willing to kill.
- Mike Connors (Day The World Ended; Sudden Fear) … Ted Bronson (as Touch Connors). Hired by Harry West as a guide. But he’s never met Harry, and Rick and Marilyn fool him to think that they’re his employers. Honest, he keeps refusing Marilyn’s advances. Which really irritates her!
- Lance Fuller (This Island Earth) … Rick Brady. Weak, easily led around by Marilyn. Cruel, he viciously beats Zuranda to death. And Marilyn murders him, to placate the voodoo tribe.
- Mary Ellen Kay (Vice Squad) … Susan Gerard (as Mary Ellen Kaye). Dr. Gerard’s suffering wife. He won’t let her leave, despite her terror.

- Otis Greene (White Witch Doctor) … Bobo. Dr. Gerard’s houseboy, who takes pity on Susan, and agrees to help her escape. And dies for it.
- Norman Willis … Harry West. The man who hired Ted for the expedition, murdered by Marilyn & Rick.
- Emmett Smith (Christmas in Connecticut; To Have and Have Not) … Gandor (as Emmett E. Smith). The “muscle” that enforces Chaka’s will. And Dr. Gerard’s as well.
- Paul Blaisdell … The Monster
- Giselle D’Arc … Yvette. Singer in the bar, who distracts Harry at a critical moment.
- Jean Davis (Moonlight in Vermont) … Zuranda. The young native girl, whom Dr. Gerard turns into a monster. Although hideous as the monster, she’s unwilling to kill.
